"We are all cleaving yet some of us from our hearts some of us from our brains, which one is you?"

I need to produce, I need to produce, I need to until there is no part of me that has ever experienced suffering. I’ll get smaller every day until I eventually vanish. Everywhere is full of houses. Hundreds, thousands of them. I’m lucky I’ve had the opportunity to live in a few. The houses where I laughed and cried and made love, I was always alone. Who knows how many more houses I will live in? Maybe I’m on the last one, maybe I’m not. Will I be able to recreate memories that I can’t remember without a napkin with me? I can’t live in the past all the time, but today doesn’t promise me a better home than the past. This is something I need to leave behind me when the time comes.

Başak Kablan has released an amazing notebook, featuring 12 different designs freely drawn by 12 designers, including myself. I'd like to share my artwork and its story with you.

What I aimed to do was to depict a sense of justice that we are not accustomed to seeing in our daily lives, accepting an unconventional perception. When the notebook is closed, we witness humanity and justice coexisting, which we are not used to seeing together. However, when you open that page of the notebook, they look at each other in a cinematic shock. Neither justice is accustomed to seeing people, nor are people accustomed to seeing justice. This creates a cinematic shock expression on their faces.

"My perception of the world is filtered and colored by the lens through which I view it, a lens that has been shaped by my experiences, beliefs, and interactions with the diverse tapestry of humanity that surrounds me. This lens guides my interpretation of the events, people, and cultures I encounter, influencing how I navigate through the complexities of our global society."
