Sentar
School Project | Fall 2018 | 5 Weeks
Students are expected to design a sitting device for them to use in studio and workshop courses at school, and the char used during the semester by student. Grades are given at the end of the semester by the device’s stability.
"A sitting device that is designed and manufactured without using glue or any other joint element for using in the studio and Atelier during the year."

With this project, I had the opportunity to work with wood and woodworking tools and machinery in the school’s workshop “Bilgi Make Lab”.
Since we were forbidden to use techniques such as glueing or screwing, we had to investigate the other joint possibilities. In this process, I have also prepared research on wood production patterns in cultures and countries like Japan and manufactured the design I created by using these techniques.
